i LOVE weekends

thank goodness the weekend is here....I am going to sleep in ( my favorite thing) , read, clean my poor house ( my lest favorite thing) and enjoy this beautiful winter weather....(in Queensland we have the perfect winters.)

What a crazy week I been having, the Reno has been given a completion date so its all hands on deck. All those loose ends that have been piling up quietly in the corner all need to be completed, all of a sudden everyone wants everything NOW!!!! So the Plumbers, Painters, Electricians, Tilers and Me are all working hard to finish... especially Me (ha! ha!) because everything styling wise is either out of stock or not here until late September which is to late ...shopping can be soo tiring.

Bowral...Australia

I am TOTALLY EXHAUSTED....So I think this means my weekend in Bowral (2 hours from Sydney) was a totally success...

Our Great hosts have the most Beautiful House. Every door in this house is from France and all slightly different... Gorgeous. The 'Christmas in July' Lunch/Feast was a traditional country affair. We Laughed and Danced into the early hours, until my cheeks were saw and my feet hurt...

This was our accommodation for the weekend, even though I didn't get to rest in here too much. The Barn is fun, one side is a work shop and the other a self contained flat...as their boys get older they are going to love this space.....O.K ...I am going back to bed now...

New Kitchen ~ the beginning

There is the beginning of my beautiful kitchen , the installers are hiding around the corner, what is it with men and not wanting to be in the picture?

at this angle you can see my magazine rack and there will be a t.v above it. The walls look very green this is definitely due to my poor camera skills not my poor paint selection.

I had to show you my mirrors in the Master ensuite. I love the nifty medicine shelves hiding behind the mirrors






this is the cabinet I had made for the Theatre room, the wall colour in here will be a dark latte including the carpet....there, I hope you have enjoyed my small tour! This is the best part of any project you finally get to see all your hard work, ideas and designs coming together... arg!!!


I am off to Sydney or rather its Southern Highlands for the weekend to catch up with some friends...so it is going to be a very busy weekend and very cold...cannot wait

its good to be back

Wow... I have been totally spoilt. Queenstown was amazing! We had perfect blue sky's, great snow, I improved my skiing a little BIT, did some great shopping and were invited to a Surprise Wedding. Our Friends decided to elope ( after being together for 13 years and 3 kids) so we felt very honored to be a part of their special and beautiful day.

The Reno has come along in leaps and bounds because I haven't been there for a couple of weeks I am amazed at how much they have been able to finish. The Kitchen is being installed tomorrow...very excited... cannot wait to see it, I wonder if my kitchen man would mind if he had an audience for whole morning?...

That's it...I am officially on holidays!!!

Did you guess my Holiday ? I am going to New Zealand skiing for my Winter holidays. Queenstown is in the South Island and is the Idyllic Ski Village. There has been piles and piles of snow...Now, if only I can just decide what to pack ( do you think 4 pairs of gorgeous boots are too much to take?) I plan to ski, eat pizza (completely guilt free...Not that I normally do!!) and try some of the yummy Kiwi Beers ...

Oh and definitely Champagne...

The quote for the Walk-in-robes came back today...luckily for me it wasn't Morning Tea Time or I would be covered in Green Tea right now!!! They are just Walk-in-robes...beautifully detailed, yes!!... O.K!... I may have gone a bit over board with the design...time to regroup, re THINK, more value for my $ ....
